We visited on the live jazz night, and so glad we did! We had a feeling it was gonna be packed, so we made sure to get there 45 minutes before the band started. Luckily, we snagged two seats near where the band would be playing. We started off by ordering drinks at the bar, which took quite a while (understandable given how busy it was but also I think they were understaffed). But I will say the drinks were worth the wait...so good! We ended up having a server assigned to where we were sitting and she was very kind and attentive. Unfortunately the bar forgot to make one of our drinks, but it wasn't the end of the world. Our server ended up taking it off the bill for the extra wait even though she didn't have to! The atmosphere, the music, and the overall vibe was great per usual. The low lighting just makes it that much better. If you're planning to come for live jazz, I highly recommend arriving early and being patient with the bar. We'll definitely be back!
Such a cute, tucked away spot downtown. I went in for a coffee meeting with a couple coworkers, and we had such a nice time. The barista was super friendly and helpful as we all decided what tea to get. I got an iced chai latte, and it had some brown sugar cinnamon on top - delicious! They have two different spaces for sitting, and it was pretty quiet and empty on a Tuesday morning. I love that every window was filled with plants, and all kinds of mismatched furniture, books, etc. made for a hip, cozy vibe. They also have a beautiful looking event space that would be so nice for a wedding reception.
4.5 rounded to a 5, because they deserve it. Parlor Public House is an absolute joy and even more so during the festive season. Their Christmas decor and lights make it such a beautiful space. There is plenty of a variety of seating that suit a day of working, reading, socializing with others, or a quick drink. They even have meeting rooms and small work booths upon reservation! I wouldn't bring any children or large celebrating/louder parties. There's free street parking in the area a short walk away. They have non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Any non-alcoholic drink can be made into an alcoholic one with a shot or so. The service was great and the folks behind the counter are very knowledgeable and were kind when educating us about the menu and giving recommendations. The drinks here are more refined, unique, and strong. From what I saw, I don't think they have sweeter/sugary alcoholic drinks like the ones you'd find at a bar. The menu and environment are definitely for a sit down and take-your-time experience. They have a seasonal menu which we took advantage of. We got the snow spoor, space cowboy, and dulcet winter. I highly recommend the dulcet winter iced. If you're trying to graduate from sugary college liquor to something more refined and classy- this is a great place to explore!! Even if you don't drink! I honestly didn't enjoy all the drinks. But it was purely because they didn't fit my palette, NOT because the drinks were straight terrible. My friends thoroughly enjoyed theirs! But I wasn't even upset because I still found something I did like and when ordering- I was told clearly what to expect and ordered because I wanted to give it a try. This place still deserves a stellar rating. If you're not too sure about your tastes and preferences in liquor, go with some friends and get a variety and have your own "sampling/flight" experience. Next time, I would love to try their food and more drinks. Their menu is huge and I'd gladly love to try everything. This place is a jewel.
From the carefully selected decor, to the multitude of plants, and the variety of private and group seating...this coffee parlor is somewhere you could lose hours in. We just stumbled across it in a back alley, and I'm so thrilled to have a new spot. I ordered the pumpkin spice and while it wasn't really my taste, I loved the flavor of their coffee. The spice rim threw me, no biggie. The presentation made up for it, anyhow. Our service was excellent, and I've heard they have cocktails after hours.
This may be the most beautiful coffee shop in Indianapolis - the space is absolutely beautiful and it was decorated for Christmas and I kind of wanted to stay there for hours even after I had finished my drinks. There is quite a bit of space to sit and tables, couches or bar seating. It was very full when I was there around 11:30 on a Friday, but I eventually found a spot. It seemed like a lot of people were working on laptops. I tried two of the holiday drinks - the Snowspoor and Garland. Loved the Garland drink, which I got hot. It was minty and very appropriate for the season plus it was absolutely beautiful. According to their menu, it has butterfly pea powder in it (which gives it that pretty color), popcorn syrup, mint syrup, glitter, dairy and comes garnished with a mint leaf. I would get this regularly if I lived close by! The Snowspoor was ok. I am still trying to find coffee I love and it wasn't overly sweet. Menu description said it had Puppy Chow syrup, mocha powdered sugar, and a black salt garnish. I didn't find that the espresso was overly bitter, which was good for me since usually espresso tastes pretty bad to me. The powdered sugar made it slightly messy, but overall it was a decent coffee drink for a non-coffee drinker. Parking was limited and I ended up in a paid lot behind the establishment. I'll definitely be back here to try some other things!
This is the place ti really enjoy ambiance and coffee or coffee cocktail. Lots of places to sit and different levels and lots of plants. The service was good a little slow but friendly.
Talk about a hidden gem!!! Seriously even after I parked I had to search a little to find it but man was it worth it. The Parlor is behind the building, you'll find it when you see the outdoors seating. Had a house brew as their espresso machine was down, next time I'll update on their espresso drinks :) House brew was smooth and had a nice flavor without any bitterness. Staff are very friendly and the place in general is great. In the evening they turn into an over 21 bar, what a great idea.
Stopped by Parlor Public House for an after dinner cocktail. They are known for being a "coffee by day, cocktails by night" kind of place. They have a small outdoor patio out front, plants all over, and a fun mix of table and lounge seating inside. We LOVED the atmosphere and eclectic vibe. We got The Dua Lipa and Live Lavender Love cocktails. The Dua Lipe was lavender forward and subtly sweet. We loved the fresh lavender garnish on top. The Live Lavender Love was a champagne cocktail with rose and lavender syrups added. The drink had editable glitter in it to enhance the aesthetic. It was certainly sweet but the perfect nightcap treat! The workers were great at checking in on us while also giving us space and acoustics were not loud at all. Would love to come back to try out some of their coffee beverages!
While visiting Indy for work, my colleague suggested we meet here for morning coworking. First off, it's adorable. The perfect combination of hipster who loves greenery and fancy girl who loves gold and nice backdrops. The decor in Parlor is awesome and versatile. I could see it easily being used for a cool cocktail event, poetry slam, wedding reception, or film location. The vibe of the patrons and workers pretty much met the decor. It seemed as though most individuals could go from day to night here, which is obviously the point since they are open from coffee to cocktails. It also felt like a place where good looking people gathered and got ish done Like a public coworking space that could be members only. I got the traditional breakfast sandwich, which came with parmesan eggs, a honey dijon sauce, and arugula on a ciabatta bun. I added the crispy bacon. The sandwich was delicious, The bread was fresh and the dijon sauce was a pleasantly surprising flavor addition. The best part was definitely the eggs. They were super soft and fluffy, kind of tasted souffled. Absolutely delicious! I saw several interesting coffee drinks on their menu, however, I opted for just a drip coffee with cream. I'm a sucker for fun syrups, and this place did not disappoint. They had honey, toasted marshmallow, and salted egg yolk. I went for the macadamia nut. My colleague for a matche latte which oooked really nice. Although I wasn't there for cocktails, the menu was full of timeless classics like the espresso martini, as well as some rare finds for this area, such as the sazerac and caipirinha drinks. The baristas/bartenders were kind and helpful. They were also patient with me as I took a while to make a decision. The place wasn't too loud to be distracting, but not so quiet that you'd feel awkward having a conversation. A real gathering place, I would love to return to the Parlor Public House if ever in Indy again,
